Day 1: Puno – Uros + Amantani
Kick off your adventure with an 8:00 AM pickup from your hotel, followed by a transfer to Lake Titicaca. Board a motorboat for a scenic 30-minute ride to the Uros Floating Islands, home to a unique community of over 40 islands made from totora reeds. Enjoy a 2-hour guided tour to learn about the Uros people’s lifestyle and, if desired, take a ride on traditional totora boats.
Next, head to Amantani Island, where local families will warmly welcome you. After settling in and enjoying a traditional lunch, hike to the sacred sites of Pachatata and Pacha Mama for stunning sunset views. In the evening, experience local culture through dances and customs shared by your host family.
Day 2: Taquile – Puno
After breakfast with your host family, depart at 8:00 AM for Taquile Island, just 40 minutes away by boat. Upon arrival, hike through scenic landscapes to the central square and artisan center, where you can explore local crafts. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before having free time to interact with residents and learn about their textile traditions.
Descend 530 steps on the opposite side of the island, returning by boat to Puno around 4:30 PM for your hotel transfer.
