Itinerary

Day 1: Our adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel at 3:00 a.m. in a comfortable private bus, heading to the stunning Colca Canyon. After a three-hour journey, we will stop in the charming town of Chivay for a delicious breakfast. We will then continue to the Cruz del Cóndor, where we will marvel at the majestic flight of condors for about 45 minutes before heading to Cabanaconde, situated at 3287 m.a.s.l.

From Cabanaconde, we will start our exciting hike toward the Pampa San Miguel viewpoints, enjoying breathtaking vistas along the way. We will then descend toward the village of San Juan de Chuccho, hiking approximately 3 hours to the Colca River, where we’ll cross a hanging bridge. During our trek, we will encounter various native and fruit-bearing plants. In San Juan, a typical lunch awaits us at the scheduled time.

After recharging, we will continue exploring the depths of the canyon, visiting the picturesque villages of Cosñirhua and Malata, before arriving at the “Oasis Sangalle – Hotel: Paraíso Las Palmeras Lodge.” Here, you can relax and enjoy a refreshing afternoon by the pool at 20°C. Later, we will savor a delicious dinner followed by a cozy campfire under the stars, concluding our first day.

Day 2: We will rise at 5:00 a.m. and, after coordinating with the guide, begin our ascent back to Cabanaconde. Upon reaching the summit, we’ll enjoy breakfast at a selected restaurant before boarding our private bus to Chivay, making stops along the way:

Antahuilque Viewpoint: where we will appreciate the Inca terraces of Colca and the colorful lagoons.

Maca Village: here, we can admire a beautiful colonial church, take photos with domesticated eagles and camelids, and purchase local crafts while tasting the famous Colca Sour, a drink made from cactus fruit.
Continuing our journey, we’ll reach Chivay, the capital of the Colca Valley, where we will head to the La Calera hot springs at 38°C to enjoy a relaxing soak for one hour. We will then return to Chivay for lunch at the pre-arranged time. After lunch, we will head toward Arequipa, making additional stops along the way:

Andes Viewpoint: to admire the southern volcanic chain.

National Reserve: where we can observe wildlife (vicuñas, birds, and more) as well as domesticated camelids (llamas, alpacas, and others).
We will conclude our fascinating adventure arriving in Arequipa at approximately 5:00 p.m.
