Embark on an exhilarating journey through the stunning Colca Canyon with our full-day tour! We’ll begin with a convenient pick-up from your accommodation in the historic center between 3:00 and 3:30 AM. After a scenic three-hour drive, we’ll arrive in the charming town of Chivay for a delicious breakfast, fueling up for the day ahead.
Next, we’ll make our way to the breathtaking Cruz del Cóndor, where you’ll enjoy 40 minutes to an hour marveling at the majestic flight of condors soaring above one of the world’s deepest canyons.
On our return to Chivay, we’ll stop at stunning viewpoints, including Choquetico, in the village of Pinchollo, where you can admire ancient Inca terracing, hanging tombs, and intricate stone carvings. As we pass through the picturesque towns of Maca and Yanque, don’t miss the chance to photograph the colonial church, interact with trained eagles and llamas, and shop for beautiful local handicrafts, including the refreshing Colca Sour—a drink made from cactus fruit (optional).
After a delightful lunch at a pre-coordinated time, we’ll head back to Arequipa, stopping at the Andes viewpoint to take in the magnificent southern volcanic chain. At the national reserve, keep an eye out for wildlife such as vicuñas and various bird species, as well as domesticated llamas and alpacas. We’ll arrive back in Arequipa between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM, concluding this unforgettable adventure in Colca.
