Starting with a pickup between 4:30 and 5:00 AM, this tour takes you deep into the Andean wilderness. After a 3-hour drive, you’ll reach Pacchanta, a small village at the foot of the Ausangate mountain. Here, you’ll enjoy breakfast before embarking on the trek toward the 7 lakes, a journey of about 1.5 to 2 hours through breathtaking landscapes at high altitudes.
Along the way, you’ll encounter the dazzling lakes, each with distinct hues that range from deep blues to vibrant greens, a result of the mineral-rich glacial waters. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, including the towering Ausangate mountain, the lakes create a truly magical setting. After exploring the lakes, you’ll return to Pacchanta for a well-earned lunch and, if you wish, relax in the local hot springs.
The tour ends with your return to Cusco, arriving around 6:30 PM.
