Your adventure begins with a 4:30 AM pickup from your hotel in Cusco, followed by a 4-hour drive through the stunning Andean landscapes to Soraypampa, situated at an altitude of 3,850 meters. Upon arrival, enjoy a hearty breakfast before setting off on the hike to Huamantay Lake.
The 1.5-hour hike from Soraypampa to the lake is moderate, but rewarding, as you pass through picturesque valleys with spectacular views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks, including the impressive Salkantay and Humantay mountains. When you arrive at Huamantay Lake, located at 4,200 meters, you’ll be greeted by the mesmerizing turquoise waters, a serene sight nestled between the towering Andean peaks.
After enjoying the tranquil beauty of the lake and capturing stunning photos, you’ll descend back to Soraypampa for lunch. The tour concludes with your return to Cusco, arriving around 6:30 PM.
