FAQ's

Which entrance tickets do I need, and how much cash should I bring?

Two payments in cash and in soles: S/ 10 at the entrance to the Maras salt ponds, and the Cusco Tourist Ticket, which is the only way into Moray since the site has no individual ticket. Which version of the Tourist Ticket makes sense depends on whether you are visiting other Inca sites during your stay, so tell us your plans when you book and we will confirm the amount.

How demanding is this tour?

Not very. Pickup is around 07:40 and you are back in Cusco by 15:00, with short walks at each site rather than any real hiking. The viewpoint at Maras and the descent into the Moray terraces involve uneven ground and steps, but both are manageable at a relaxed pace. It is a good choice while you are still adjusting to the altitude.

Are meals included?

No. This is a half day that ends back in Cusco around 15:00, so it falls between meals: have breakfast before pickup and lunch on your return. Bring water and a snack, plus some coins in soles for the toilets at the sites.

Should I take this or the full-day Sacred Valley with Maras and Moray?

Take this half day if your time in Cusco is short, or if you have already seen Pisac and Ollantaytambo. The full-day version covers the same two sites but adds Chinchero, Ollantaytambo and Pisac plus a buffet lunch, running from 06:30 to 18:30. If you only have one day in the valley, the full day gives you considerably more; if you want an easy morning, this one does the job.

Can I bring children?

Yes. There is no minimum age, and this is one of the easier tours for families: it is short, the drive is scenic and the walking is light. On the Tourist Ticket, children under 10 do not pay, and those aged 10 to 17 pay a student rate with ID.
