Getting there

Fly from Lima or Cusco to Puerto Maldonado, arriving before 1:00 pm. On your last day, book a flight leaving after 12:30 pm.

Most travelers add the Amazon right after Cusco and Machu Picchu. We build the whole route for you.

When is the best time to go?

The lodge is open all year. April to November is drier and the only season for the camping trip to El Chuncho.

Can I bring my kids?

Yes. Children under 6 stay free and kids 6 to 12 pay half. They need to keep the group's pace on the trails.

What should I pack?

Light long sleeves and long trousers, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, a flashlight or headlamp, a light rain jacket and comfortable closed shoes. Your big luggage can stay in Puerto Maldonado.

What if my flight is cancelled?

Flights to the jungle can be affected by weather. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers flight cancellations.
