Two days is what most travelers give Puno. The first afternoon is gentle: Sillustani, the burial towers above Lake Umayo, a short visit that lets you get used to the altitude. The second day is on the lake: the Uros floating islands in the morning, then Taquile, an island known for its textile art, with a walk up to the village and a trout lunch. The next morning you can take the Ruta del Sol to Cusco or fly out of Juliaca.
Times are the usual schedule of each tour and are confirmed with your final itinerary. Tours pick you up at hotels in central Puno.
