Puno 3-Day Itinerary: Lake Titicaca and a Night on Amantaní

This is the plan we recommend. After a gentle first afternoon at Sillustani, you cross the lake to the Uros and continue to Amantaní, where you stay with a local family: lunch and dinner at their home, a walk up to the Pachatata and Pachamama temples for sunset and, most evenings, music and dances in traditional dress. The next morning you sail to Taquile and then back to Puno. Rooms are simple and clean, with proper beds, hand-woven blankets and electric light. Nights are cold, so bring warm layers. It’s not a hotel, and that’s the point. Not for you? Choose the version without the island night, sleeping in Puno every night.
